The Associated Press Twitter account was hacked today, proving that there are significant flaws in Twitter’s security measures and password protection. The original tweet,

Two Explosions in the White House and Barack Obama is injured

received hundreds of retweets and shares across the web in a matter of minutes. In addition, the Dow Jones plummeted, but quickly recovered once the tweet was finally confirmed to be false.


April 17, 2013

Today, a fertilizer plant in a small town called West, TX north of Waco, exploded, causing a tremor that registered as a 2.1 magnitude earthquake. Recent reports state that 15 have died, and as many as 160 people were injured. ||| In other news, our wonderfully eloquent 44th president threw a temper tantrum that would have made most 7 year-olds proud. After the senate struck down the gun-control bill, Obama claimed it was a “sad day for Washington” during his media address. (Video)


April 15, 2013

Terror struck the famous Boston Marathon today as two bombs were detonated near the finish line. Two people (one, an 8-year-old boy) were killed, and nearly 100 others were injured at the time of this writing.

Edit, 4/18/13: Reports now say 3 people were killed while 180 were injured.
